Custom Chart Styles in Atlas

The Chart Styles page in Atlas lets you build custom chart components by defining how entities and relationships appear visually in your charts. Use this page to create and manage style rules based on specific attributes that allow your charts to reflect the information that matters most to your organization.
 

Navigate to Chart Styles

1. Navigate to the Charts section in the left-hand navigation
2. Select the Chart Style tab under the Charts title

3. Review the columns displayed: Style Type, Attribute, and Visual

   • Style Type — the relationship the style represents (e.g., entities, relationships)
   • Attribute — the entity type selected
   • Visual — the current symbol associated with the selected Style Type and Attribute

   

Create an Entity Style

1. In the top right, select the Actions dropdown and click Create Entity Style
2. In the When section, set filters to define when the style should apply — options include Entity Type, Tax Treatment, Jurisdiction, Purpose Type, and Entity Status
3. In the Apply These Styles section, customize how a matching entity appears visually
4. Save the new entity style rule

Create a Relationship Style

1. In the top right, select the Actions dropdown and click Create Relationship Style
2. In the When section, set the Relationship Type filter to define when the style applies
3. In the Style section, customize the visual appearance for matching relationships
4. Save the new relationship style rule

Edit or delete a chart style

1. Locate the style entry in the Chart Styles page
2. Select the kebab icon at the end of the row
3. Choose Edit to modify the style or Delete to remove it
