Insight’s MFN Elections feature enables you to complete the MFN elections process quickly and digitally. Using SmartLine functionality, you can now redline MFN and side letter provisions to understand key differences in seconds before submitting your elections.
Follow the steps below to make informed election decisions in just a few clicks:
LPs Submit Elections
- After the GP has distributed forms, you will receive an email notification prompting you to complete a new MFN form. From the email, you will click Set Up Account to initiate login to a secure portal.
- The first time you make MFN elections using Insight, you'll need to create a password and agree to Ontra’s terms of service and privacy policy.
- Once you agree and click Continue, you’re brought to a documents dashboard where you can view the MFN Election forms for relevant entities.
- You select the MFN form of interest and can use the table of contents on the left-hand panel to toggle between the cover letter and each MFN provision. Viewing the election form will change the form status to In Progress on your dashboard.
- You can use the SmartLine feature to identify similarities and differences among provisions before making a selection. To do so, click SmartLine in the upper right corner of any obligation category, set a provision as a base, and review the redline that results. You will be able to see which provisions already exist in the side letter.
- After reviewing electable provisions, you can use checkboxes to make your selections. Non-electable provisions are included for read-only purposes.
- You will send the completed form to the GP by selecting Submit at the bottom of the form, which changes the form status to Submitted.
- While editing or after submitting, you can click Download in the upper right corner of the form to download the MFN form for your own records.
Note: After submitting elections, you will be able to log back into the platform to review your selections. You will not be able to modify elections unless the GP voids and resends the election form.
