Systematically compare text across multiple selected obligations with multi-obligation SmartLining™ 

SmartLine™  Existing Obligations

1. Navigate to the obligation dashboard, select the obligations you would like to compare, click the Bulk Actions drop-down, and then click SmartLine™

2. On the left side of the screen, select all the obligations you would like to compare
   • Note: You can compare any combination of obligations, regardless of whether they are grouped together

3. On the right side of the screen, set one of the excerpts as the SmartLine™ base by clicking Set as Base.

   

   The tool will then SmartLine™ the selected obligations against the base text, and you will be able to see the additions and deletions on the righthand side

   

   • Note: Check off Hide Deletions to only see additions
4. To export your SmartLine™ comparisons, use the Export as PDF button, which will give you a printable version of the SmartLine™

Selecting a principal reference text

1. To SmartLine™ an obligation with multiple document references, first Click the Kebab button next to Set as Base and select Edit Principal Selection

2. After clicking Edit Principal Selection, use the ⭐️ icon to assign the principal excerpt
   • Tip: You can always change the principal reference text by editing the obligation
