Use SmartLine™ to systematically compare text across multiple obligations within Insight. You can compare any combination of obligations, regardless of whether they are grouped together.
SmartLine™ Existing Obligations
- In the left-side navigation, under Insight, open the Obligations dashboard
- Use search and filters to narrow down the displayed obligations
- Use the checkboxes to select the obligations to be compared
Click Bulk Actions and select SmartLine™
- Select the obligations you wish to compare, then on the right side of the screen, where the reference texts are displayed, set one of the excerpts as the SmartLine™ base by select Set as Base.
- The tool will then SmartLine™ the selected obligations against the base text, showing deletions via red strikethroughs and additions via underlined red text in the corresponding positions.
- Select the Hide deletions option in the top-right of the screen to view the text with the "deleted" text hidden.
Select the Export as PDF button to generate a printable version of the SmartLine™ marked text and selected base text.
Specify principal reference text
Use SmartLine™ to specify the principal reference text for an obligation with multiple reference texts.
- Navigate to the SmartLine™ page as outlined above.
Select an obligation associated with multiple reference texts.
💡Find the number of reference texts associated with an obligation in the top-right of each obligation in a green box.- Select Show other reference texts to expand the full selection of reference texts for that obligation.
- Select the kebab button next to Set as Base in the top-right, then select Edit Principal Selection
- Select the ⭐️ icon on the left to assign the principal excerpt for that obligation, then select Save in the top-right.
